The Opportunity:
Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting is currently seeking a Manager of Payroll Processing for the myPay Solutions organization. myPay Solutions provides a comprehensive line of payroll processing services for businesses that want a convenient, efficient, and reliable payroll service with minimum hassle. The responsibilities of the Manager of Payroll Processing include:
  • Manage all aspects of customer payroll processing to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Design, implement and manage an organizational structure that optimizes the efficient processing of payrolls.
  • Monitor and report on the productivity and quality of the processing center. Develop and implement plans to improve productivity and quality.
  • Ensure clients are provided a high level of customer service. Develop and implement plans to improve client retention.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified employees to support the production needs of the operation. Coordinate production with sales to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with clients, vendors, peers and support staff in other Thomson Reuters offices, as well as a cultivating and encouraging mutual respect, understanding, and support between sales and operations personnel.
  • Manage expenses to an operating budget.
  • Responsible for continuous process improvement through root-cause analyses & engages other support teams as needed.
  • Leverage technology & processes to gain efficiencies.
  • Participate during the implementation process to build scaleable, repeatable processes.
  • Participate in process review discussions to ensure client specific processes are integrated into the standard workflows.
  • Drive projects to create efficiencies, improve cost, improve quality of service delivery, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Providing team training opportunities for focal areas.
  • Handles escalated client issues & assists the payroll supervisor, team leader and specialists in diffusing escalations.

Qualifications
*A minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated work experience in the management of multi-state AND multi-client payroll operation or its equivalent, with a good understanding of payroll-related issues. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification desirable.
*Experience with payroll software products and computer experience, including data entry, word processing, and spread sheet capabilities.
*Demonstrated ability to measure, track and improve Key Performance Indicators of quality, productivity and efficiency.
*Working knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes and forms
*Ability to build and motivate a strong, positive and cooperative team
*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high degree of accountability
* Detail oriented, well organized; high degree of accuracy
* Customer service experience
* High degree of dependability
