Job Description
Foley & Lardner LLP is dedicated to fostering an environment that embraces differences, promotes equality, and engenders mutual respect, thereby creating a culture of inclusion where everyone has the opportunity to excel. For the 2025 Summer Program, Foley is offering our Diversity Fellowship Program for second-year law students (Class of 2026). These fellowships are for students who share our values and demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. Each Diversity Fellow receives a weekly salary throughout the 10-week program, plus a $50,000 taxable fellowship, which will be paid in two installments: $20,000 following successful completion of the firm's 2025 Summer Associate Program, and $30,000 paid within 30 days after joining the firm as an associate/law graduate.

Applications will be accepted from second-year J.D. students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school, regardless of race, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic or condition protected by applicable law. In addition to applying for the fellowship through our career portal, applicants must apply for at least one of our 2L Summer Associate positions either via our Careers portal or OCI in order to be eligible. If you will be interviewing with the firm during your law school's OCI Program, you do not need to apply through our Careers portal again. Interested applicants should apply with a current resume, unofficial or official law school transcript (including complete grades for all completed law school semesters), and a personal statement (approximately 500 words in length). The personal statement should describe your background, accomplishments, or leadership experience that would help you contribute to our diversity mission or promote diversity at our law firm and within the community.

Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we regret that we are unable to respond to inquiries as to the status of your application. You will receive an email confirming your application has been submitted properly, and we will contact you if we have any questions or if you are selected for the fellowship.

Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer/M/F/Vet/Disabled. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without consideration to their race, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, protected veteran status, marital status, domestic partner status or medical condition. For applicants applying to our California offices, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records pursuant to local ordinances.
