RLI is looking for an intern to work in our Claim department, beginning Summer 2021 followed by an opportunity to work through the 2021/2022 academic school year. This position will be in our Peoria, IL Home Office. Work hours during the school year are flexible between 8:00 -5:00 Monday-Friday, dependent on class schedule and full-time hours during the summer.
Our intern will provide analyses for current claim trends including, but not limited to the effects of COVID and the impact of vaccinations on businesses and society returning to normal.
Position Purpose
Under frequent supervision, gain a broad understanding of the RLI business through a real-world experience and on-the-job training.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
* Complete project-based assignments as assigned.
* Work closely with experienced professionals, colleagues, and fellow interns to gain knowledge and develop team-building skills.
* Attend planned education and social activities in order to gain an understanding of the RLI business as well as network.
Education & Experience
Requires a high school diploma and college coursework with 0-2 years of experience in a related field or position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
* Ability to analyze and resolve basic issues.
* Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with others.
