We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern who wants to gain exposure to the construction industry while supporting international construction projects as part of a teamoriented business environment. The Accounting Intern will learn how to work as part of the accounting department to successfully support the company and clients.
RESPONSIBILIITIES:
Shadow members of the accounting department as they perform their duties
Assist with reconciling vendor invoices with purchase orders and entering of accounts payable
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
Work with onsite finance team to collect supporting documentation for fixed asset sales and purchases
Reconcile project cost accounting between systems
Work with risk management and project accounting to update subcontractor compliance in the system
Administrative duties such as data entry, scanning, and filling will be required
Attend monthly project status meetings and learn how the information from those meetings flows into the financial statements via the WIP
Attend weekly huddles with operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
Experience with Microsoft Office products Outlook, Word, Excel a plus
Previous construction experience a plus, but not required
